You know i always love to talk about 'my' neighborhood--but I have been noticing that lately everybody is aggressive and yelling at each other more than usual and I thought that perhaps the heat really does influence a person's ability to tolerate anything, much less other people.
Thanks again for the informative article, Ayşe. One thing that came to mind when reading it is this slow, quiet protest happening in Tarlabaşı against the mass-evictions happening there. One guy, to avoid being evicted, put out some astro turf and a couple of chairs in front of his place and tried to turn it into a 'garden'. Neighbors followed suit and now there is a self-made 'garden district'. this is likely too late to effect the evictions, but nice nonetheless.
