One month in Marxloh - Part II
- Series: Kreativ.Quartier.Ruhr
Eric Jan van de Geer is a photo artist. He claims his his works to be a bridge to painting, but instead of paint and brushes, van de Geer uses a film camera or a Polaroid camera.

He lives in Duisburg-Marxloh for a month. He says art has the objective to make something visible you normally don't see. His work in and with the district is based on that approach.

There's a very narrow definition of Marxloh prevailing in people's heads. In van de Geers works, it doesn't exist. A superficial opinion is generated by a superficial perspective - Eric Jan van de Geer grabs a ladder and his camera and takes a closer look.
