EMSCHERKUNST.2010 - Bogomir Ecker 01

The largest art project of Europe’s cultural capital RUHR.2010 is scheduled to start at the end of May, it will last for 100 days and it will take place at the Emscher island under the name "EMSCHERKUNST.2010". A location that could not be more unusual.

Art in the public space with an urban focus but also aspects of landscaping design will play a role in the exhibition curated by Florian Matzner.

The exhibition will be opened on the 29th of May within the framework of a big opening ceremony by the minister-president of Northrhine-Westphalia.

Film-maker Saschko Frey accompanied the EMSCHERKUNST.2010 project from the beginning of 2008 with his camera.
In doing so, he looks deeply into the artists' lives, their ideas and the locations along Emscher.

The kaleidoscope of his multipartite episodes about the creation of this unique art project is presented here on 2010LAB.tv.
