BVB Championship festivities: "We won't give back the cup!"
The images from the championship festivities of Borussia Dortmund 1909 went around the world. The live stream of 2010LAB.tv and dortmund.de was followed by people in China, Japan, Australia, the UK, France and the USA: this is how football can change a city! We summarised the best scenes and interviews in the video.
This city is groovy. The choir of hundred thousand throats sets the pulse beat: "Who is the German champion? BVB Borussia! Who is the German champion? Borussia BVB!“ Over and over again. The text is not too original but neither is a heart which pumps the same blood through the body's arteries 60 or 90 times per minute. That's just the way it is. A life looong…
Collectively, the black and yellow bodies move like a giant organism. Waldorf school pupils are amazed: this is how eurythmy can be fun! Let's dance the name Borussia and then continue right on to the Bee-Vau-Bee-he waltz - all barefoot.
Today, everybody is prominent. Everybody may say something - everybody is fan today. Aki and Ulli say something and so do Fritz and Hanni. If they take up a high political, economic or sports function in their everyday life - who cares today? Today, they are black and yellow and they are happy.
Fritz has the best words for it: "We ain't givin' back the cup ever again!"
And in the end, even the moderator has a bath. That's how it went on that particular Sunday.
So nice!
