Bruised

Bruised (original title: Blauwblauw) is an animated short based on a poem by Miguel Declercq. This film of 2006 is part of DichtVorm, an educational packet that wants to make a link between two neglected artforms; poetry and animated films. This project resulted in a DVD of 15 animated shorts. S.O.I.L., a Belgian production company based in Brussels, produced these films. The original initiative was started by a Illuster, a Dutch production company, who already produced 3 DichtVorm series.

Synopsis: A woman finds a bruise on her shoulder. This bruise comes alife.

In 2007 Bruised won an award for best non narrative animation at I castelli Animati in Rome, Italy.
