BLUEBERRY is seemingly about a girl and her snake. But the real story involves a father's neglect of his daughter and the fragility of innocence.

Matthew Sanger

Matthew Sanger began making short films when he was ten years old. He has written three feature screenplays – a black comedy, a horror and a comedy-thriller. The latter became “PLAYGROUND LOGIC” which he produced and directed. This led to his selling the option on one of his other screenplays – “CARRIONS WAKE” - which is now in development as a 3-D supernatural-horror feature. He has directed two music videos for Tigertrap Records: “THE MOON & THE YEW TREE” and “BELTANE”. In 2009, Matthew teamed up with Bigger Pictures and successfully applied to Screen East’s Digital Shorts scheme. The result was “BLUEBERRY”, a contemporary fairytale which he directed and co-wrote.
