M.R. about his work
“When creating, I usually proceed from idea into form and realization. That is why form and final medium are subordinated to the concept. This particular video is a record of action, where not only sound, but also time linearity were important. This work was a spontaneous reaction on the environment and circumstances during the festival PerformAction Scaner in Gdansk.
We were meeting at school, where my attention was caught by sound coming from a water pipeline that was expanding and contracting due to temperature change, and it happened in regular intervals. But its structure was irregular what made me feel uncomfortable. So my reaction was simple action, when I put regulations into a chaotic environment – contrast situation. And so I named it a bit lofty: composition for the radiator and the wall clock.”
