Wow Wow Wow Receiver, Day 1

Tuesday, October 11, 2011, 10:09, Periglis, Scilly

Difficulties loading Figs 1 and 2; but I persist. I have taken photographs of my tent as it now is and shall seek eventually to load them as Fig 3 or as Fig 3a…3n if I use more than 1

I have breakfasted. My coffee remains foul – I was going to bring a French press but remembered there is one here. When I got here, I remembered that I had broken the one here. So now I make a kind of instant Greek coffee.

It carries the punch.

There wasn’t enough cereal for a decent meal so I have given it to the sparrows, whom I am studying (and they me, I am sure)

So strawberry yoghurt beginning to evolve, followed by fish – good fish – in a rich tomato sauce. Well, if that sauce was rich, it got rich by lying.

Washing up. Went as you’d expect.

Clothes washing. I doubt anything will dry. I may change my shirt two or three times today to get them dry so that they don’t go horrid in the hold of the ship.

Shower. The initial seconds of very cold water complete the work of the caffeine.

There was a spider in my washing kit bag, sitting on the toothpaste tube. Small creatures go into spaces like that, finding it a decent environment and assume it will always be like that. “I shall live here,” they think.

Now he or she is living on the floor of shower room.

I am sure the challenge will lead it to innovate.

I doubt it has much sense of time passing so it’s unlikely to be grieiving its homelessness in such short time. The shower room will bring out the best in it, I hope.

Now to see if this uploads. No great difficulty last time so I am optimistic. And then the shop for supper food and then a cup of tea made inside a building. Drinkable tea: I am so predictable, they don’t ask me what I want any more, just serve a pot of Assam.

Then back here for my midday broadcast..

If it’s raining, I shall go to the shed. If that fails, I shall walk to the pub and be a bit late.
