How about this suggestion: you know what would really pep up the so-called Ruhr metropolis? The answer is: many, many roundabouts. If you’re travelling on Germany’s rural roads al lot, you know them – and want to call them circle circumventions. What’s even worse: any old tiny village “embellishes” these traffic obstacles with “art”. The worst: there’s indeed a website for it: kreiselkunst.com . What if the word „roundabout“ didn’t exist in our language? Maybe then we wouldn’t be in danger of getting more and more of them...
