The idea of a Capital of Culture is not a franchise product which can be put on any given region like a hat, regardless of its structural situation. Each European Capital of Culture is unique and different from the others. But of course there are also several similarities. And they all want to accomlish one thing at least: sustainability.
Ruhr & Turku

Politicians and cultural leaders met for an exchange of ideas and experiences in the town of Clichy-La-Garenne at the Seine. The series of conferences is called Les Rencontres (the gatherings) and constitutes a network and a union of European cities and regions for culture. Watch the 2010lab.tv video.
